Scope:
As the final phase of improving the sewerage network for a large part of the city, following major tunnelling works and a new pumping station, the existing rising main had to be grouted up due to its poor structural integrity.
Delta were awarded a 10 week contract to grout up 5.45kms of twin 600dia and 1.25kms of 225dia redundant pumping main using bentonite/cement grout in 3no operations from one location, keeping disruption to the local inhabitants to the minimum
Prior to grouting,, 670m of 250dia HPPE was installed within the existing rising main and the removal of all sewage present in the pipe line.
